Photo Gallery - Horizontal Layout

The Horizontal layout creates thumbnails, laid out in rows and a title and description are placed beneath each image.

This link will open a new window showing image of the horizontal gallery layout.

When inserting the gallery, under the layout tab, at the bottom is a box, saying to choose how many thumbnails per row - up to 10 can be used, but I suggest starting off with about 3 or 4, if you get Front Page to create thumbnails of 100 pixels wide.

Customisation
Basic customisation is quite straightforward. However if you want to alter the layout quite a bit, then it is not worth it as Front Page has tables within tables!! You would be better off letting Front Page create the gallery, then remaking the page into your own table layout - this is a lot easier than it sounds and full details are given under the customisation link.

More images across the page can be used for this Gallery than the Vertical one, as the text is placed underneath the thumbnails. The Vertical Gallery - the text is placed alongside.

The Plants Gallery and the Transport Gallery uses the Horizontal Layout.
